This is rocket science

Every day, FORCE Technology exposes technologies to hair-raising experiences that reassure us and our customers that the technology can function even under extreme conditions.

This edition of Agenda takes you up into the higher altitudes where you can read about Lynx helicopters and the Ariane 6 rocket. Staying grounding, we also provide insight into reliability test of connectors and give you a free guide for working with energy harvesting as an energy source.

Enjoy your reading.

CASE

Olympic achievements kept the Lynx in the air

Faster, higher, stronger - that is the Olympic motto. The motto also describes the results of the joint Danish/Swedish cooperation which kept the Danish Navy's Lynx helicopters flying, while awaiting the implementation of the new Seahawk. The cooperation resulted in faster delivery, 90 % lower costs of repair, and even significantly stronger components based on our rocket science knowledge.

If you are considering a fresh look at the market, here are some things you need to consider before entering the Iranian market with software as a medical device.

FREE GUIDE

4-step-guide: How to get started with energy harvesting

Applications like smart city, smart home and Industry 4.0 require a lot of devices to be connected to the internet. Some estimates forecast 26 billion devices online by 2020. One major issue with wireless smart devices is their power supply. The use of batteries have significant shortcomings that makes energy harvesting a relevant alternative. This guide helps you get started with energy harvesting.

PRODUCT RELIABILITY

Knowledge about connector reliability can lead to more reliable products

The vast majority of electrical devices are equipped with one or more types of connectors. Connectors are often crucial to the reliability of a product. Is the connector the weak point in the design? Does the cheaper connector fulfil requirements just as well as the alternative without decreasing the product realiability? FORCE Technology has set out to find a simple method of answering these questions.

ENVIRONMENT

Environmental product declarations for windows

The increasing focus on environmental impact from building materials has caused VinduesIndustrien and Grundejernes Investeringsfond (The Landowners’ Investment Foundation) to initiate a project where the environmental impact from distinct types of windows are mapped in environmental product declarations (EDP’s). The new declaration has many benefits.
