The intelligent eye
DELTA’s Technology day is fast approaching. Registrations for the event on 30 August has been overwhelming - no vacant seats are left. Thank you for the great interest in the event. Use the link to the right if you want to sign up on the waiting list.

The programme includes an interesting case study about the UK-based company, Gooee, who has developed a ground-breaking IoT lighting ecosystem - the so-called 'intelligent eye'. In this edition of DELTA Agenda you can read more about Gooee's 'intelligent eye'.

We look forward to welcoming customers and business partners to DELTA’s Technology day.

Best regards from

New ‘intelligent eye’ provides huge business opportunities within IoT
Gooee has developed an IoT Lighting Ecosystem that provides intelligent energy management, predictive maintenance and lighting analytics. The system, which is enabled by a dual sensor ASIC supplied by DELTA, can collect a multitude of on-site data and has been predicted a bright IoT future.
Approval of products with
radio
The new Radio Equipment Directive (RED) 2014/53/EU, defines radio equipment as an electrical or electronic product, which intentionally emits and/or receives radio waves for the purpose of radio communication and/or radio determination. Such products are covered by the directive.
The Wireless Club at DELTA now also comprises IoT
The Wireless Club at DELTA has now been extended to the IoT & Wireless Club. In the future, the club will keep you updated with the latest knowledge within both wireless technology and IoT. It will be expanded to 8 metings per year.

The first of IoT & Wireless Club meeting will focus on components and modules. There is also a brief update on the new radio equipment directive (RUD / RED).

Robustness in welfare technology – why?
Welfare technology, which functions in the real world, is important for feeling safe.
In popular terms robustness is a measure of how well welfare technology copes with environmental conditions of the real world. Therefore, it is important to develop welfare technology that has a sufficient margin of strength in relation to the stress it is exposed to. Robustness is not necessarily covered by the standardised minimum requirements in for example, IEC 60601.

'Metrologi nyt' June 2016:
Measurements in a dynamic world
Technology development and application of new technologies in the world around us make demands on the development of new measuring techniques and adaptation of metrology. It was the theme of this year's 'Metrologidag' where presentations from industry, researchers, and Advanced Technology Group (GTS) focused on the theme 'Measurements in a dynamic world'.

The annual Metrologidag is arranged in cooperation between DANAK, DELTA, DFM, DI, FORCE Technology and the Danish Technological Institute. 'Metrologi nyt' is published with support from the Ministry of Higher Education and Science.
