Webinar: LifeSci New York City

Did you know that there is a vibrant life science industry and community in Manhattan? New York City has emerged as a major center of life sciences innovation in the US, with its network of premier academic medical centers, lab space, and access to National Institutes of Health and venture funding. Join us to learn more!

To follow-up onthe delegation trip to the USA in March, this webinar is organized in collaboration with the New York Economic Development Corporation (NYC EDC), to offer you insights into why you should choose New York City as your place to start or grow your life science business here. You'll hear of the support you can get from NYC EDC and about the citywide ecosystem for life science, with key ingredients such as a deep and diverse talent pool, premier academic and medical institutions, and the widest and most varied healthcare-delivery infrastructure of any place in the world - right in the center of Manhattan.

NYC offers of the most extensive healthcare systems in the USA, with over 50 hospitals and 370 federally qualified healthcare centers serving a large and diverse population, as well as 100 disease specialty foundations driving advocacy for patients. You will also find a growing startup investment scene that draws on ready access to capital; and leverages strong relationships with the venture capital, nonprofit, and public sectors. The network of established pharmaceutical and biotech companies is also strong. In the heart of this is the LifeSci Ave—New York City’s established life sciences corridor along the East Side of Manhattan, with some of the country’s premier institutions in biomedical research, clinical care, and commercial biotech.

Come and meet NYC EDC, and learn more about the possibilities in the big Apple!
