INVITATION: High-level delegation visit to Washington DC, March 12-14 2024
Swecare Foundation, in collaboration with the Ministry of Health and Social Affairs and the Embassy of Sweden in Washington DC, invites you to participate in the high-level delegation focusing on research and innovation in cancer prevention, diagnostics and treatment. The delegtion will be headed by Ms. Acko Ankarberg Johansson, Minister for Health Care, who is joined by State Secretary Ms. Miriam Söderström. Interested organizations and companies in the area of cancer are invited to join the program.

On the occasion of the signing of an agreement between Sweden and the United States to strengthen the bilateral collaboration on cancer research, development, innovation, and implementation, Ms. Acko Ankarberg Johansson will visit Washington DC. Apart from the representatives from the Ministry of Health and Social Affairs, the Swedish delegation will consist of researchers, clinicians, patient representatives, organizations and companies. The purpose is to promote cooperation and contacts between the USA and Sweden in the field of cancer, exchange of knowledge for research and application in healthcare, etc., as well as to showcase Swedish solutions and capabilities in these areas.

On the agenda is a study visit to the oncology center at Johns Hopkins Hospital, and the US-Sweden Cancer Summit 2024 at House of Sweden, gathering high-level representatives from the Department of Health and Human Services, Cancer Moonshot and the National Cancer Institute. Other American KOLs and important stakeholders at various levels will also be invited to the afternoon event, which will end with networking opportunities during a dinner reception.
The rest of the program is not definite yet, and more information will be communicated in the coming week.

reduced fee: 10 000 sek for small companies being Swecare members and institutions; second person: 8 000 sek
