One of the key challenges in developing and implementing Sustainable Energy and Climate Action Plans (SECAPs) is overcoming the silos that hinder collaboration both between different levels of government (vertical) and across sectors (horizontal). Effective coordination is essential to drive progress on climate and energy goals.
The webinar begins with an introduction to relevant European regulations and the Green Deal Going Local initiative by the Committee of the Regions. The second part features practitioners from Cyprus, Spain, and Italy sharing their insights on overcoming governance silos in SECAPs development and implementation.
This webinar opens the Transition Expert capacity building programme launched by PLAN4CET LIFE-CET project. Transition Experts play a crucial role in breaking these silos by guiding local authorities in aligning strategies across governance levels and sectors. This event will provide them with an overview of the EU’s support for integrated governance and a platform to exchange practical experiences.
