In respect of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), which took effect May 25th, 2018, we would like to keep our customers informed about GEODIS’ policy and principles when it comes to processing your personal data.
First of all, we confirm that GEODIS records and processes personal information in total compliance with the General Data Protection Regulation n°2016/679, established by the European Parliament, and also in compliance with the Data Privacy regulations of the different countries where we and our customers are located.
We collect and use your personal data only for specific and limited purposes, for example in our Customer Relationship Management systems, be it to provide you with commercial offers relevant to your area of activity, to grant you access to platforms from where you can track and manage your shipments, or to provide you with information related to the execution of your contract with GEODIS.
In order to be able to fulfill our contractual obligations with you, we may have to share your personal records with our sub-contractors who are, in turn, legally obliged to respect Data Privacy regulations and bound to respect the contractual provisions imposed by GEODIS related to personal data.
For the purpose of being fully compliant with the law, at GEODIS we set up our own Data Protection Charter and oblige each of our providers, sub-contractors and business partners to subscribe to it. We won’t keep your personal data for any other purposes or for longer than described in our Data Protection Charter.
