Joining Forces: Collaborating for Strong Co-Productions
How are producers and funders thinking about the smartest and most successful co-productions for 2021 and coming years? Experts talk about the benefit of tapping into financial incentives as well as finding the right creative collaborators. Producers offer practical advice from recent and upcoming high-profile co-productions including Flee, Triangle of Sadness and Daniel.

Liselott Forsman
CEO, Nordisk Film & TV Fond (Finland) 

Liselott Forsman is the CEO of the Nordisk Film & TV Fond since 2019. As Yle’s International Drama Executive and EBU’s Head of Fiction Group, her focus was on international collaboration and media strategies. When Head of Fiction at Swedish Yle, she commissioned and co-produced feature films, drama series and content for young audiences. Her MA combines film, drama and TV studies. Liselott has been a speaker at forums on five continents, lectured at European master educations, produced drama and documentaries, and written for TV, radio and stage. She’s co-founded and headed the international event Helsinki Script. As the manager of the Fund she answers for funding decisions and the overall strategy.

Mike Goodridge
Founder and Producer, Good Chaos (UK)

Mike Goodridge has spent over 30 years in leadership roles in the international film business. Before co-founding UK production company Good Chaos in 2019, he was previously CEO of the London-based production, finance and sales company Protagonist Pictures. He oversaw over 70 feature films including THE LOBSTER by Yorgos Lanthimos, LOVE & FRIENDSHIP by Whit Stillman, HUNT FOR THE WILDERPEOPLE by Taika Waititi, THE FLORIDA PROJECT by Sean Baker and THE RIDER by Chloé Zhao. With Good Chaos, he is working on the development of film projects by filmmakers such as Jessica Hausner, Sally El Hosaini, Edward Berger, Nanouk Leopold, Jalmari Helander and Kirill Serebrennikov. He is also an executive producer on Jasmila Žbanić’s QUO VADIS, AIDA? and co-producer on Ruben Östlund’s TRIANGLE OF SADNESS. He is a member of BAFTA and a board member of the European Film Academy.

Monica Hellström
Producer, Final Cut for Real (Denmark)

Monica Hellström, producer, Final Cut for Real (Denmark) Monica Hellström has been a producer at Denmark’s Final Cut for Real since 2010 after having previously worked at Upfront Films and The Danish Film Institute's Film Workshop. Her productions have included Simon Lereng Wilmont's documentary THE DISTANT BARKING OF DOGS which was shortlisted for the 2019 Oscars. She served as the lead producer for Jonas Poher Rasmussen's animated documentary FLEE, which won the World Cinema Jury Prize - Documentary at Sundance 2021 and was selected for Cannes Film Festival 2020. She co-produced THE NILE HILTON INCIDENT by Tarik Saleh (produced by Atmo) and GOOD FAVOUR by Rebecca Daly (produced by Savage Productions). She graduated from the EAVE Producer Workshop in 2010 and holds an MA in film from the University of Copenhagen and a BA in film from the University of Bedfordshire. She is a member of The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences and was selected as an EFP Producer on the Move at Cannes 2020.

Gudny Hummelvoll
Founder and producer, Hummefilm, and President, European Producers Club (Norway)

Gudny Hummelvoll has over 20 years of production experience from feature films, television, documentary, and short films. She is the CEO of Norwegian production company Hummelfilm, established in 2011 and based in Oslo. Since 2013, Hummelfilm has had a close collaboration with Yellow Bird, producing the TV series OCCUPIED based on an idea by Jo Nesbø. Hummelfilm aims to produce and co-produce films and TV series that are both artistically strong and have the ability to reach a wide national and international audience. The company’s credits also include Camilla Strøm Henriksen’s PHOENIX, Ronnie Sandahl’s UNDERDOG, Lucía Puenzo’s THE GERMAN DOCTOR and Petter Næss’s forthcoming NOTHING TO LAUGH ABOUT and co-producing DANIEL by Niels Arden Oplev and THE MAN by Charlotte Sieling. Hummelvoll is also the president of the European Producers Club.

Riina Sildos
Founder and Producer, Amrion

Riina Sildos established Amrion Productions in 2003 and is active in development and production of high quality feature films and documentaries for local and international cinema and TV markets. Her productions include THE CLASS, A LADY IN PARIS, THE LITTLE COMRADE, MIHKEL and TV hit BORDERTOWN. She is currently co-producing COMPARTMENT NO 6 directed by Finland’s Juho Kuosmanen. As the former Head of the Estonian Film Foundation, Sildos has extensive knowledge and experience in international financing and marketing. She is a national representative of Estonia at EAVE and a member of ACE and European Film Academy.
