The delegation to Morocco is off to a great start, how did the first day go? - A great first day with our delegation to Morocco. Together with the Swedish embassy in Rabat, Business Sweden and a couple of well known Swedish companies, we have visited Ministry of Health and Social Protection as well as the university hospital CHU Ibn Sina. Morocco is investing a lot in health infrastructure and the government has initiated a number of reforms to be able to provide universal coverage as well as more accessible healthcare, an impressive work that we are happy to contribute to. Says Maria Helling, CEO of Swecare Foundation. A special thanks to our partners and members, Business Sweden, EKN Exportkreditnämnden, Getinge, Elekta, Elof Hansson Group, AstraZeneca, and Arjo for being a part of this delegation! ✨

What a kick-off for our Swedish life science delegation in Brussels - the capital of the EU! 🇧🇪 📍 The starting point? Parlamentarium, with a 90 minutes crash course about the EU, followed by a pre-meeting and dinner with invited guest Niklas Blomberg. ➡ Today awaits a day filled with study visits and meetings with representatives of the EU institutions, the Permanent representation of Sweden to the EU, and organizations with great knowledge on how these institutions work and how to be successful in making your voice heard. We hope that this visit will help to establish valuable connections and increase knowledge on how to influence the legislative processes and EU institutions. Let’s connect!💫

🤝 Swecare receives 6.5 million SEK from the Swedish Government. The increased amount of funding will enable a further focus on Ukraine, among other things. ➡️ The funding will make it possible to conduct a pre-study outlining Ukraine's healthcare needs and clarify in which way the private sector can contribute to support and meet those needs. As part of Sweden's extensive and long-standing commitment to Ukraine, Regeringskansliet, Socialdepartementet and Swecare held a conference in December 2023. During the conference, an MoU was signed between Sweden and Ukraine. 🇺🇦 Read the Press Release (in Swedish): https://lnkd.in/dDTtRcad
