Welcome to explore Helsinki, one of the fastest-growing metropolitan areas in Europe.

1st of June NCSC is arranging a study tour to Helsinki, join us for a one day trip where we explore the Finnish shopping center and retail market. Helsinki is expanding faster than ever before and during the study tour we will visit shopping center’s in the Helsinki area as well as projects where entire new districts will be built with housing, offices, and commercial spaces.

Networking dinner will be arranged the evening before in Helsinki city on May 31st.

Helsinki study tour
  • 9.00 - Arrival at the Helsinki - Vantaa airport

    Transfer from the airport to the Iso Omena shopping centre.

  • 10.00 - Welcome and morning coffee
  • 10.30 - Introduction to Finnish Retail Market
     

    JLL Finland’s introduction to Finnish retail market, key cities and shopping centres.

  • 11.00 - Iso Omena Shopping Centre

    Opened in 2001, big development and extension project completed in spring 2017.  Iso Omena is one of the largest shopping centres in Finland: it has over 100,000 sqm of retail GLA and more than 200 stores. Iso Omena hosts a wide range of grocery, fashion, leisure stores. In addition, it has excellent public and private services. The restaurant world houses 50 different cafés and restaurants

  • 12.00 - Lunch at Classic Pizza (Iso Omena)
     

    Classic Pizza Restaurant is a Finnish gourmet pizza restaurant chain priding itself in its high quality pizzas made out of the best available ingredients, and offering everyday luxury experiences to its customers.

  • 13.30 - Mall Of Tripla

    TRIPLA, which will be opened in 2019 in central Helsinki, is located in a transportation hub which consists of an urban shopping centre in a prime location, a railway station, hotel, offices, apartments and parking facilities. Mall of Tripla has 85,000 m2 of GLA and with it’s 250 stores it will be the biggest shopping centre in Finland.

  • 14.40 - REDI

    REDI opens in autumn 2018. REDI has over 200 leasable units, including various supermarkets, wide selection of other stores, 38 cafes and restaurants, a climbing wall, a flying centre, a 7D cinema – and metro, which is stopping on the 3rd floor 500 times a day. Eight tower buildings will be built on the roof of the shopping centre and over 2000 residents will live in REDI towers.

  • 16.00 - Forum

    Shopping Centre Forum is one of the most well-known shopping centres in Finland.  It is a 140 store shopping complex, covering a whole block in the heart of Helsinki. During 2013-2015 Forum was renewed and increased its area with 8 000 sqm. Shopping centre’s total GLA rose to nearly 40,000 sqm. Forum was awarded the title The Best Finnish Shopping Center by the Nordic Council of Shopping Centers (NCSC) in 2016.

  • 17.00 - Kortteli, Kamppi Shopping Centre (optional)

    Kortteli ( English: The Block) has become the new destination for breakfast, lunch, dinner and drinks and also a place to enjoy several services like yoga and a new haircut. This total renovation of upper 2 floors has been a success for Kamppi and entrepreneurs and for customers that have quickly become fans of this destination spreading the word in social media. Footfall has doubled, sales has increased by 50%. It is worth a visit!
